Fast performance problem solutions for z/VM and Linux for System z

zTUNE can be installed on any z/VM system, where it will quickly diagnose over 100 different problems and, in most cases, give recommendations on how to correct them. This is even better than having a high- priced expert on site at all times, because as problems are discovered at other installations, new diagnostics will be added. zTUNE is a subscription service provided by Velocity Software to quickly resolve your z/VM and Linux on System z performance problems. zTUNE identifies problems in z/VM and Linux on System z running under z/VM, and provides corrective recommendations when possible. When zTUNE cannot identify the problem, the world's leading performance experts are ready to solve your problems for no extra charge.

zTUNE requires a subscription license, and the lease and installation of one of Velocity Software's performance tools (zMON, ESAMON, ESAMAP, or ESALPS). Pay one annual fee and have performance analysis services available whenever you need themš

zTUNE Linux on System z Prerequisites

zTUNE can detect many zLINUX problems as well. For this added support, one of ESATCP, ESAMON, or ESALPS is required. zMON is not a candidate for this support.

Net-SNMP must be installed and active on all Linux on System z nodes being serviced.
